I went into the antique store where my Aunt Kathy does some work on weekends. The store was filled with odds and ends including any kind of animal pelt you can imagine. I noticed these long, thin wooden boards. She told me they were used to stretch the animal skins (pelts) during the drying process. These two particular boards I bought were for beavers. That's why I have chosen these works to be included in the "Beaver Board' series.
